Well, it has been a couple of day, but I am getting better!

Ok, I just woke up, the coffee is on, I am getting around to the days tasks and I am still lonely. Christmas went over well, everyone enjoyed the dinner I made, and all were happy with their presents. Nobody was in an irritable mood, so i was an enjoyable day. Having some minor problems at work, but it will be resolved. Nothing that will risk my job, but just some problems achieving the results we are after with a certain task.

Anyhow, I am so glad to see I didn't lose all my friends here, that would have been depressing. I am sorry to see that I lost a few very good ones. I was surprised to see that Allison took me off here list. I might have to rekindle that one.

I have so much news, I will have to take some time to get you all (Ya'll) up to speed. Let,s kind of start fro the beginning, and I will use the days ahead to complete it.

First off, I need to give you a little background on me, so you will understand my emotions. I was born and raised in Ohio, but I now reside in North Carolina. How I got here is one story. I left Ohio originally in 1978, where I spent a summer in Norfolk, Virginia. I stayed with my brother at that time, as he was stationed in the Navy there, and had an off-base apartment with his then girlfriend and her kids. My brother is about 3 years older then me, and he is actually my half-brother, on my mothers side. He was never thought of as a half-brother, because we never even thought about it. My brother has given me a lot of guidance in life, especially in the younger years. I like to think I have given him some a well. Before I go on, I must also mention that I ave a sister a well, that is about 3 years my junior. I hope to be able to talk more about her later. Anyhow, back to Norfolk. I worked at the now non-existent "Ocean View Amusement Park", I know it isn't world famous, but if you have seen the movie "Rollercoaster" or "Death Of Ocean View Park", then you will know of it. My primary job there was running the bumper cars, or Dodge-ems, as the were called. A very close friend of mine, Jeff Cooper, also went to Norfolk with me, or should I say I went with him? Oh well either way, he also worked at the park, and his primary position was running the rollercoaster. The park was open from noon till midnight, if my memory strikes me well, and I believe the wages were next to nothing. I can remember that at slow times we would ride the rides ourselves, until school got out, and the kids would start to fill the park. I can also remember that if you slipped girls tickets, that was a good way to break the ice, and have a chance at a date. I will just say, that I knew some very pretty girls, very intimately, in Norfolk, Virginia.

After that summer, and Norfolk, I returned to Ohio for the winter, so as not to let old friendships die. The next summer I was off to Texas, with my best friend, Mike Pool, R.I.P Mike. We went to Texas, mainly because we could drink any alcohol at 18 there. In Ohio, they had the "Low Beer". 18 to drink that, and 21 to buy "High Beer" and alcohol. So, off we went to visit with Mikes dad in Odessa Texas, actually it was a small town outside of Odessa, the name of which slips my mind right now. I got a job with a company called "Kote Line Inc." in Midland, Texas. I held that position, until I joined the Navy in 1981. I think I joined the Navy, mainly due to my newly acquired drinking problem. Ha, imagine that, join the Navy to help stop drinking? Anyhow I served my time in the Navy, 4 years and 1 month, after which, I was off to Ohio again, I got a job about a month afterward with a company named O.H. Materials, it stands for oil and hazardous materials, ot Ohio materials. They later were known as KB Inc. and are now a part of IT Corp. One of the stipulations to getting employed with OHM, was that I had to relocate to New Jersey, we won't talk about NJ here. I spent about 2 years in the New Jersey office of OHM, before I transferred to the Richmond, Virginia office, where I spent about another 2 years, before transferring to the St. Louis, Missouri office, and about another year there, before I quit that job. Reasons, you will find out later in another story. I started work with a company named "Abatemant Services", out of St. Louis. I worked with them for a couple of years, off and on, while I took some schooling in electronics. I then moved back to Ohio for a short time, where I worked as a lead cashier for Meijers in Findlay, Ohio. That lasted just until I was offered a position with Environmental Technology of N.A. Inc. back in Richmond, Virginia. That company came to be known as Earth Tech, as it was bought out. I stayed with them for almost nine years, through the Richmond office, and later the Greensboro, North Carolina office. I quit with Earth Tech in January of 2001, to accept a position with TN & Associates, here in Goldsboro, North Carolina. I am now approaching my one year anniversary with them.

Ok, now you know how I got here, the "why's" and other details will be in upcoming editions of life as I know it.

Love Ya'll,
Neal

I am so sorry for never getting back to this journal, you wouldn't believe all that has had me busy. I have a new house now, in Bayleaf, a subdivision of Goldsboro, NC. It is a huge house, over 2400 sq. ft., 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. my son, who is now 6 years old loves it, as do I.

I want to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all my friends that have hung in there, and a special "Thank You" to the ones that have posted to me. I love you all, and I hope we will be friends forever.

I am going to keep this short now, since it wasn't planned out on what to say this time, but, I PROMISE to update really soon, maybe even later today, if I don't get tied up.

Once again, Thank You All.

Love,
Neal

Well, it appears that some people were not happy with me having friends on my list. If you find yourself on my list and wish to be removed, please let me know. I only like to read about the people on my list, and it makes it easier when they are listed as friends. People from NC like myself are especially of interest as they are neighbors, and I can relate to that aspect. There are some weird people in this world, and one of the requests I received was from a total freak..........................So up yours dude, you should look in a mirror before you make assumptions dude! Later to all the cool people in the world.

Here we go again...............#4. Another BS day in paradise! 8^) Found out today that we can't leave until monday. We have to get a blood test to determine our level of exposure to lead, since this was a lead abatement job. That really blows, I was looking forward to a day at home before the next job, looks like I will be going straight there instead. I sure do miss my son. Next weekend will be all ours. Almost finished today, probably could have gotten done, had it not been for the storm that came through. About 2 hours tomorrow, and it should be complete. Should be back at The Pirates Bay by race time, I hope. GO 88 & 28!!! No more for now, time to eat..P & L Wolf out!!!

Well, it's time for #3! Not the car..............BOO! 88 is Great! A very slow day today at work, swept the parking lot that we staged our backfill soil in, Whoopee! Took my truck in for servicing, is ready to be picked up in the morning. We went to Hooters tonight for a crew dinner, since we will be leaving this weekend. Leaving on sunday. After we left Hooters one of the other guys and myself went to the Swizzle Stick, since we didn't go there last weekend. I stayed alcohol free tonight, since we have to work tomorrow, and because I knew the other guy would be drinking heavily, he did. That is about the whole sinopsis of the days events. Thrilling, huh? That's it for tonight. P & L!

Hi Everybody, and Welcome. This is my first Journal Entry. I am currently in Ft.Walton Beach, FL, working on a job at Eglin AFB. We are removing lead contaminated soil from around the base of 2 water towers. The contamination was the result of refurbishing the towers. The primer paint that was previosly used on them was red lead. We have completed one site, and will begin backfilling the other location tomorrow. On this site I am operating an excavator, a bobcat skid loader, a rubber tire front end loader, and a mini-excavator. There is 5 guys directly associated with this site. Carl is the site RM, Bill Duffy the site super, Garlie Bennet the site fore, and Ed Wilson the Tech, and of course myself, the equi[ment operator. It looks like I will be heading to Chesapeake, VA next, due to mobe there monday or tuesday of next week. Well, I guess that is about all for now, I will get the hang of this thing eventually. I am working on a website, but I don't really know much about the fundamentals, just have ideas. I will link it when I get it going, probably be eons from now, unless someone wants to design it for me. 8^) I hope to get my camera running on the site as well. Caio 4 Now, more later! Peace & Love!!!
